Privacy
Mood Sanctuary is run by The Flop Collective Ltd. This page explains what we store, why, and how to take your data with you or delete it. Last updated 16 July 2026.
What we store
Your moods, in your words: the feeling you type, the word and quote you receive, and the song that came with it. If you like or play a song, we remember that too, so the sanctuary stops repeating itself. If you create an account, we also store your email address and, if you subscribe, your subscription status. That is the whole list. We don't collect your location, your contacts, or anything happening outside this page — and we never sell or share your data for advertising.
One quiet cookie
Mood Sanctuary sets a single first-party cookie on your device. It holds a random ID — nothing about you — and it exists so the sanctuary can recognise this device, keep your free moods counted fairly, and hold onto your history. It is strictly functional and permanent: there is no tracking, no advertising, and no third party behind it, which is why you don't see a consent banner. If you create an account and later log out, the cookie keeps pointing at your account so your history is still yours when you return. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Your rights: take it or erase it
With an account, both live at the bottom of this page. Download my data gives you everything we hold about you as a single file, immediately. Delete my account erases your moods, likes, plays, email, and login — permanently and right away, not at the end of a billing period. If you have a subscription, we cancel it at the same moment; no further charges. There is no grace period and no way for us to undo it, so the button asks you to be sure.
One honest exception: Stripe, our payment provider, is legally required to keep past invoices. Those remain with Stripe under its own retention rules. Everything under our control is gone.
Who helps us run this
A small number of services process data on our behalf, each for one job: Supabase stores your data, Anthropic turns your feeling into a word (your text is sent to generate the response, and we don't permit it to be used for model training), Unsplash and Deezer provide the photo and the song, Stripe handles payments (we never see your card number), and Resend delivers our emails. None of them may use your data for anything else.
